Implant Restoration

Dental implants are one of the most interesting and evolving developments in dentistry. In the past, the loss of a tooth called for some sort of prosthetic replacement, generally a bridge or, in extreme cases, dentures. A dental implant, on the other hand, is a fixed restorative. The implant is surgically placed in the bone, given time to allow the implant to fuse with the bone (called osseointegration) and then restored with a custom fabricated crown. The result is a tooth that looks and functions as effectively as a natural tooth.
